This guide walks you through the entire online quoting process at ShippinX — from entering your shipment details and comparing available services to placing an order. The whole process usually takes just a few minutes.
What You Need Before You Start
- Pickup warehouse: the domestic warehouse from which your goods will be shipped, selected from the dropdown in the quoting dialog;
- Destination postal code: the US (or North American) ZIP code of the final delivery address;
- Shipment details: length (cm) × width (cm) × height (cm), weight (kg) and quantity for each package; for multiple packages, enter them one by one — the system supports adding more packages;
- Logistics attributes: the category and characteristics of your goods (e.g., e-commerce, general cargo, battery-contained, sensitive goods), selected from the tree options;
- Product name count: the number of distinct product names in this shipment.
Step 1: Enter Your Quotation Details
- Click Get a Quote in the top navigation, or any "Get a Quote" entry on the site, to open the online quotation page;
- Click the quotation card on the left of the filter bar to open the quoting dialog;
- Fill in the pickup warehouse, destination postal code, package details, logistics attributes and product name count as prompted;
- Click Quote to submit. Your quotation details will then be pinned at the top of the page, and all service filtering and pricing will be based on them.
Please note that the pickup warehouse, destination postal code, complete package dimensions and weight, and at least one logistics attribute are required — the system will alert you if anything is missing. Your submitted quotation is automatically saved in your browser on the current device, so next time you can simply pick it from the "Quote history" dropdown instead of re-entering everything.
Step 2: Filter and Compare Services
Once your quotation details are submitted, the page lists the matching logistics services. You can quickly find the right one by:
- Filters: filter by service template, route type, transit type, customs clearance type, door-to-door type, first-leg / last-leg transport mode, and FBA warehouse support;
- Sorting: default order, price low to high (requires your quotation details to be entered first), or fastest transit;
- Service details: each service shows the route, route / customs (multimodal legs plus clearance type — DDP services are shown in grey), category (transit type and FBA tag), requirements (weight and declaration rules), delivery time (expected days from dispatch to delivery), and a real-time price calculated from your quotation details.
Step 3: Place Your Order and Manage It
Once you have chosen a suitable service, click the Order button on the service row. You will be taken to the order creation page — complete the shipping and receiving address, contact information and other details as prompted, then confirm and submit. After the order is created, you can always view its status and tracking progress in the Member Center of the Client Portal.
If a service is marked as unavailable, the page will show the reason (e.g., weight limit exceeded, or it does not match your current quotation). Please adjust your quotation details or filters and try again.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Why does the page say "No services found"? Your current quotation details and filters do not match any available service. Try "Clear Filters" or adjust the quotation parameters and retry.
- Why do prices vary? Prices are calculated in real time based on the pickup warehouse, destination postal code, package dimensions and weight, and logistics attributes. A change in any parameter may result in a different quote.
- What is DDP? DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is a service under which the carrier coordinates both export and import clearance and covers the corresponding duties. The exact fee structure is subject to the service details and the order confirmation.
- What is FBA? Services that support Amazon FBA inbound show an FBA tag in the Category column — suitable for cross-border e-commerce sellers shipping directly to fulfillment warehouses.
- How long is my quote history kept? Quote history is stored in the browser of the device you are currently using. It cannot be recovered after switching devices or clearing browser data, so we recommend keeping records of important quotes.
